Account Manager
Are you commercially driven and enjoy working with customers, building long-term relationships, and turning opportunities into results? You’re also motivated to truly understand a complex SaaS product and stay on top of how it evolves. Join one of Europe’s leading HR tech companies, Sympa, and help us drive customer success across the Nordics.
Type: Full-time, permanent
Location: Espoo, Finland (hybrid, 2–3 days per week at the office)
Starting date: During summer or early autumn 2026
Over the last 20 years, Sympa has helped some of the largest companies in the Nordics put people at the centre of their strategy. With over 1,000 customers and a strong install base, we’re continuing our growth journey — and now we’re looking for an Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of named customers and help them succeed with Sympa.
As an Account Manager, you’ll play a central role in building strong, long-lasting customer relationships and ensuring our customers get maximum value from the Sympa platform. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, working closely with stakeholders at all levels, while also identifying opportunities to expand your customer accounts. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, offering you the chance to make a real impact on both customer success and Sympa’s growth.
What you get to do every day
• Develop deep expertise in the Sympa platform and use that knowledge to provide practical, actionable advice to customers
• Own and manage relationships with your own portfolio of customers, acting as their primary point of contact
• Proactively engage with customers to ensure they get the most value from Sympa’s solutions
• Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and advocacy through continuous relationship development
• Identify and act on opportunities to expand accounts through upselling and cross-selling
• Build strong relationships across customer organizations, including senior stakeholders and decision-makers
• Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and guiding them in achieving their HR goals
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Services to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Contribute to strengthening collaboration between customer-facing teams to support overall customer success
What do we offer?
Sympa is striving for fast international growth while maintaining the agility of a small business, which shapes our work culture. Decisions are made fast, with a flat hierarchy. We are united by a shared purpose: driving success together while having the freedom to innovate, grow, and make a real impact.
As an Account Manager, you will get
• The opportunity to directly impact customer success and Sympa’s growth
• An independent and valued role within a team of supportive professionals
• The chance to work in an international environment and collaborate across countries daily
• A position where you can grow into a trusted advisor and deepen your expertise in HR tech
• A compensation model where you can directly influence your own earnings through your results
What do we value in our candidates?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing, commercial role and feels comfortable taking ownership of both relationships and results. You already have hands-on experience from similar types of roles and have shown that you can succeed in a commercial environment. You also have experience working in the software industry — for example in a commercial, consulting, or support role — and understand what it means to work with complex SaaS solutions.
Furthermore, the following experience and skills are needed to succeed
• Experience from a commercial or sales-oriented role, not only with new sales but also with existing customers and long-term customer relationships
• Proven ability to work towards commercial targets and take responsibility for your own results
• Experience working with software or systems, and the ability to understand and navigate complex solutions
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations in a professional way
• A structured and proactive way of working, with the ability to manage a larger portfolio of accounts effectively
• Ability to take ownership of your work and move things forward independently
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work closely with different internal teams
• Curiosity and willingness to learn the Sympa platform inside and out
• Professional fluency in Finnish and English are mandatory
Additionally, it as a plus but not a requirement if you
• Have experience working closely with HR processes or systems
• Have previously worked as a key user or in a role where you’ve needed to learn and support others in using complex systems
